Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor types a name, location, or other term into a search box, the query is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Dallas County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its receipt and use of the query.
Messages Sent to the Site
An email or contact message may contain the sender’s name, address, and any facts included in the message. That information is kept as needed to read and answer the request. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising functions may record technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages opened and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- Date and time information tied to the request.
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and support certain site, analytics, and advertising functions. A browser can reject or remove cookies. Some features may work differently when that storage is blocked.
How Collected Data Is Used
Collected information supports routine operation and improvement of the service. It may be used to:

- Send a search request to the selected partner tool.
- Measure which Dallas County topics visitors find useful.

Privacy on Linked Services

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify the requester, a person may ask Dallas County Released Inmates to:
- Provide a copy of personal data held about that person.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Erase information that is no longer required to be kept.
- Stop certain forms of processing when an applicable right permits it.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices, vendors, or legal duties change. An updated version becomes effective when it is posted here with a new effective date. Visitors should review the current notice when they return.
